At the meeting on 23 April 2015, the Supervisory Board of ALROSA voted to elect Andrey Zharkov as President of the Company.
The contract with Andrey Zharkov is signed for a period of three years.
Andrey Vyacheslavovich Zharkov was born on 11 February 1973 in Geneva.
In 1995, he graduated from Moscow State Linguistic University with a degree in foreign languages; in 1998, he obtained a degree in accounting and auditing from Moscow State University of Commerce.
In 1995–2001, he worked as a category 1 expert, leading expert, senior specialist, and senior dealer – head of precious metals transactions at the Bank of Russia.
In 2001–2006, he was head of unit, deputy head of department and chief engineer at MMC Norilsk Nickel.
In 2006–2008, served as CEO of TsentrStroyRekonstruktsiya.
In 2008–2009, was project manager at RUSAL Global Management B.V. and project manager at En+ Management.
In 2009–2010, held the post of chief commercial officer at Prioksky Non-Ferrous Metals Plant and sat on the Board of Directors of Novosibirsk Refinery Plant.
In 2010–2015, served as deputy head of Gokhran, a precious metals and gems repository under the Russian Ministry of Finance, and chairman of the Board of Directors at Kristall Production Corporation.
